W. “Teddy” McDaniel, III  is the President & CEO of the Urban League of Central Carolinas (ULCC). The ULCC runs economic development programs in Education, Employment, Housing, and Healthcare. Prior to serving as the Austin Area Urban League President for 5 years during 2012-2017, Teddy served as Chief Operating Officer of the Greater Phoenix Urban League and spent over 15 years in the financial service industry, concentrating in the Franchise Business sector and working for companies such as GE Capital and Chase Manhattan Bank.

A passionate community services advocate, McDaniel serves on the Board of Directors of the Austin Revitalization Authority, Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau, Community Care Health Centers and The University of Texas’ Division of Diversity and Community Engagement Community Advisory Council. He also serves the city of Austin as Vice Chair of the Austin Bergstrom International Airport Advisory Commission. He is a 2015 Graduate of the Essential Class of Leadership Austin and holds a B.A. in Finance, with honors, from Morehouse College.
