Malik Crowder is the Assistant Director of the Multicultural Engagement Center at The University of Texas at Austin. Before joining the staff of the Multicultural Engagement Center in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement, Crowder was the inaugural academic advisor for the UT-Austin Black Studies program. He has mentored Longhorn football players in the academics center, helped launch a success program in the School for Undergraduate Studies and served as vice president for the Black Faculty and Staff Association. Crowder earned his Master of Science degree in human development at Abilene Christian University. He was on a faculty/staff team which led fifty-seven UT-Austin students on a study abroad this summer in Cape Town, South Africa. Malik and his wife are active at the Eastside Church of Christ here in Austin and serve on many community and educational organizations.
